Snow Day!

The weather out here has been crazy. Tornadoes and thunderstorms one day, 3 inches of snow the next! Crazy. I'm thankful we are all safe and that our power is still on. Katie has been hoping for snow all winter, but we have not had one day of good snow. We have had NO snow to justify the purchase of snow boots (1st time I bought actual snow boots for the kids and we had a mild winter...go figure). Anywho, we sure got some snow last night, and they're saying it's going to be in the 60's tomorrow, so it is sure to melt tonight. So, after breakfast we suited up and went out to play in the snow.

Poor William had a miserable time. He had on his coat I got for NEXT year, so he was an odd combination of Maggie Simpson and Randy from A Christmas Story- practically immobile and constantly falling down. I also left his PJ's on under all his clothes...he really couldn't move that well. Poor kid!
Katie, on the other hand, had a great time. She built a snowman, made snow angels, took some rides on the sled (mommy acting as the sled dog) and had a great time on the snow-covered slide. Fun times for miss Katie :)

Five minutes out and poor William had his 1st of many falls :)

Dance Fever, High Heels

Dance Fever has hit our house again. William cracks me up with his new moves :)

In addition to being an accomplished dancer, William is also very good at walking in his sister's high heeled princess shoes. Jared finds it a bit alarming when he combines his high heel strut with a purse or a bracelet.
I find it extremely hilarious.
Dude looks like a lady ;)

Katie Birthday

Katie had a quiet birthday this year. She turned 4 on the 4th, her Golden Birthday :)
We went to Red Robin (at the birthday girl's request) then came home for some cake and presents. She is currently addicted to The Care Bears and loved having some on her chocolate cake. Aunt Jenna and Uncle Nathan loaded her up with Care Bear coloring books and stickers- the girl was in heaven. Aunt Melissa spoiled he with tons of craft supplies and activities...the girl is so spoiled. She's lucky to have so many people thinking of her on her birthday! We're going to have a big Birthday party for her and her friend Bella next week. She is very excited to have a party at the bouncy park again. Although her actual birthday was a quiet, rainy day, (she also had a cold and a wonky-eye on her bday) she has more than made up for it with an almost month-long celebration of her birthday. She's a lucky girl!

Gymnastics

One of Katie's Christmas presents from AZ papa and grandma was another course of Gymnastics. She started last week with a new coach and a new class. She has been doing well and learning new things. She really enjoys gymnastics.
KY papa and grandma gave Jared and I a new camera for Christmas, which allows me to take better pictures while at gymnastics. I'm still learning my way around this camera, so some of the videos are a little shaky/blurry. Also, william terrorizing the waiting area doesn't leave me much time and focus to take good pictures and videos. Here's what I got today:

Butterfly wings

Aunt Jenna and Uncle Nathan dropped off some butterfly wings for Katie last week. She absolutely loves them, loves getting photographed in them and loves asking about said photographs to be printed so she can look at them...
The girl loves her wings!

Here she is 'flying' with her wings.
