Cute Girl

Katie had her little friend Cami come over and play last night. Katie never seems to be really interested in her own toys until another baby starts playing with them, then suddenly she becomes very protective and active with her toys ;) Anywho, here's some cute pics of Katie in her room- busting at the seems with toys and fun (yet she still seems to think that the toilet and trash cans are more interesting)
Katie was sick last night and still today. She's got a bit of a fever, crankiness and congestion (not to mention gas and teething) so she is very attached to bear, as always, and bunny has made an astonishing come back into her circle of friends. I thought bunny might have been forgotten, but she's back in action.

Zoo Fun!

Katie went to the zoo today with her friend Bella. We weren't the only ones celebrating the sunshine, the zoo was packed with people happy to be out in the warm weather. I think the whole concept and magic of the zoo was lost on my dear Katelyn. She was more happy to just walk around in circles, freed from the confines of her stroller, than to witness the Rhinos, Elephants and Lions hanging out in their cages. After not petting the goats, she fell out of her stroller and hit her head pretty hard on the ground. After that, she was content to just sit in her stroller, drinking her bottle :)
The most interaction Katie even had with an animal was with the ducks that just roam the zoo on their own. One of the ducks was feasting off of Katie's PB sandwich, so much so that it nibbled a bit right out of Katie's hands.
All in all it was a fun day. Katie slept in the car on the way home, and stayed asleep when I took her out and put her in bed (she has never done that).

Easter!

Katie had a fun Easter this year. She was only 3 months old last Easter, so it was fun to actually get some reaction out of her this time around :)
She woke up to some Easter Bunny gifts at home, then she had an egg hunt with cousin Nolan at McGrandma and McGrandpa's house. After a grand total of 30 minutes of napping, she got all dressed up and went to church! It was a full day for such a little girl, but she did well (aside from the 1 hour at church where she screamed and cried at McGrandpa and McGrandma- such a stinker!!!)
