Perfect Combination

Jared and I get so many differing opinions about who Katie looks like. About %50 percent thinks she is an Annie Clone and %50 percent thinks she is a mini-Jared. Jared affectionately refers to Katelyn as 'Jaredene' so we know which way he sways :). Here are some pics of Katie, Jared and I for comparison. I think she's a perfect combination of us both!

The Week's Recap

It was a good week. Katelyn is finally sleeping (not crying) in her crib. So that's definitely good.

after that she likes to play with Mommy - and try to figure out what that device Dad is always pointing at her is



she still enjoys going on walks with Mom and Dad (and napping while doing so)

even though she gets upset because she can't fit that last one in there

More nature walks....

Katelyn, Jared and I went on another nature walk today. After dinner we hit up EP Tom Sawyer Park. Jared and I used to walk or run there almost every night before Katelyn came. It's a nice park with a great combination of walking trails and nature trails. We decided to take Katelyn out in her snugli instead of the stroller. She slept through the first half, but woke up bright eyed and happy for the rest :). We think she likes being outside!

Worn out from our nature walk in the park, Katie and daddy took a nap afterwards whilst mommy updated the blog. I couldn't resist capturing their state of restful bliss. Katelyn really does like to nap on Jared's chest :).

Katelyn's day out!

Well, spring is in the air so we decided to take advantage of some nice weather and take Katie on a stroller ride through Cherokee Park. She mostly slept through it all. We wanted to capture some of the beautiful trees in bloom. The pictures are mostly of Katie waking up and trying to figure out why she isn't still comfortably sleeping :). Jared and I decided to brave the camera lens as well and take a few pics with our precious girl. We don't want to wake up one day and realize that we have no mommy/daddy and katie pictures just because we are currently a little on the chubby side. Sorry about the double chins, I know they are only cute on Katie :).

......in about 7 months :). Congrats to my brother Davie who just recently got engaged on Tuesday! Davie and Amy have set a tentative date of Nov. 21st 2008 as their wedding day. Katelyn will sure be cute that day! Good luck to Davie and Amy!
