Baby Boy

Here's an ultrasound picture of our boy on the way. Looks like he's asleep, but he's a really active boy.

Will she conquer the slide??

Last week Katie was climbing up the slide with no problems – with her tennis shoes on.  Today she returned to repeat the feat, although now sporting her “new sandals”.  Will she make it to the top?  Several attempts prove unsuccessful, but with determination she finally reaches the glory of the landing.

Let's go fly a kite!

It's been perfect kite flying weather around here, and we finally took advantage of it. For $3 and a small walk to the park we had a fun, kite-flying evening! Katie loves to watch other people fly their kites when we go on walks to the park so we thought we'd try and fly one with her. The thrill was short-lived for Katie, but she did love running around and playing in the grass. It was worth it no matter how much enjoyment she actually got out of the kite itself :).

Easter!

Easter Egg Hunt

Thanks to moms with more ambition and creativity than me, Katie was invited to a little pre-Easter egg hunt in the backyard of some friends from church. After some lunch (again, provided by people with more talent and generosity than Katie's mom- I brought a bag of chips......) we hid some eggs for the kids to find. Katie had fun finding them once she understood the concept. I had to slow her down a bit because she only needed to find 12, but she would have gladly stuffed 20 into her little Easter bag ;) The weather has been wonderful here and it was a perfect day to play and find eggs. Good times!
