Mind Jars

Katie and I made some 'mind jars' today. Thank you Pinterest for somehow convincing me that combining massive amounts of glitter glue, glitter, food coloring and water into a glass jar is something I should be doing...
Anywho, Katie loved dumping all the glitter products into the water and stirring. William enjoyed dumping glitter and hot water all over my hands. And I loved breaking open a glitter glue container all over myself and the floor!
Despite all the messy challenges, the jars turned out pretty cool. I fervently hope that they never shatter on the floor. And I do hope that I can use them to my own advantage. They've been advertised as a good way for kids to chill out when they're frustrated. They shake up the jar and watch the glitter float and fall, collecting their thoughts while they study the swirling glitter. I hope I can convince Katie to actually do this when she's have a rough day, and I actually hope I can use it too.
Here's to glitter!

It looks like the jars worked! Are the lids glued?! LOL! And, William's cheese grin makes my heart swell. What a cute boy.
